Payment Methods for Students or Donors

The training program is specifically tailored to cross-cultural church planting and is normally mandatory for all persons planning to become employees of Ethnos Canada, Ethnos360 (U.S.A.) or any of the other international organizations which are signatories to the Global Ministry Agreement. For this reason, the training program is considered employment-related. Consequently, only contributions made to offset the cost of tuition are eligible for official receipts for Canadian income tax purposes. Ethnos Canada cannot receive contributions toward students’ personal costs, including rent.

Note: Student accounts are created the week before Orientation, and payments to tuition and/or rent can only begin at that point. These accounts are only to pay for program charges and cannot be used to hold funds like a bank account. Student accounts are closed after graduation once all charges are paid.

Students

Note: payments from students will be applied first towards rent. Once rent has been paid, payments will be applied towards tuition.

  • Cheque – make payable to Ethnos Canada. Include a separate note indicating that this is to pay your student bill.
  • Cash – please give cash to the receptionist, who will give you a transaction receipt.
  • Credit Card – the amount applied toward your student account will be reduced by the associated transaction fee (approximately 2.2%).
  • E-transfers can be sent to finance@ethnos.ca

Donors

  • Cheque – make payable to Ethnos Canada. Include a separate note indicating the name of the student.
  • Cash – please give cash to the receptionist, who will give you a transaction receipt.
  • Credit Card – the associated transaction fee (approximately 2.2%) will be deducted from the donation. The easiest way to make a credit card donation is to call the reception desk at 1-844-855-6862.
  • If donors wish to make donations monthly, they might consider arranging for pre-authorized withdrawals from a bank account (“PAD”). Information and forms are available from our receptionist, or at the following link: Pre-Authorized-Debit-Form-2022.pdf (ethnos.ca)
  • E-transfers can be sent to finance@ethnos.ca.
  • U.S. Donors are not able to receive tax-deductible receipts for donations to students. They will need to send the gift directly to the student through whatever means is easiest for the student and donor. Donations for students cannot be sent via Ethnos360.
